Who we are
Bibli Verse Puzzle is owned by BibliXP, INC. (“we,” “us”). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Bibli Verse Puzzle website and the Bibli Verse Puzzle app for iOS and Android (together, the “Service”). Questions: contact@biblixp.com.
What this policy covers
The website is a marketing site with a playable demo. The app lets you solve verse puzzles, subscribe, and buy collections, and, if you choose, sign in to back up and sync progress. We collect only what we need to run those features. We do not sell your personal information.
The website
You can use the website without creating an account. Puzzle completion badges (the verse, time, and date) stay in your browser’s local storage on this device. We may also store an appearance preference locally if you change it.
We do not set first-party analytics cookies, and we do not run our own advertising or analytics scripts on the site. The site is hosted on Vercel, which may keep standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. Display fonts are loaded through Google Fonts.
The app
You do not need an account to play, subscribe, buy collections, or restore purchases. Guest play stays on your device: progress, settings (sound, haptics, appearance, Bible version, interests), and showcase choices are stored locally.
If you buy or restore a purchase as a guest, the app gives you a guest ID: a random identifier created through Supabase, with no name, email address, or password, and nothing to sign in to. Your purchases and the collections you have unlocked are recorded under it, and, while you have a subscription, which premium collection puzzles you open each month. Your puzzle progress, favorites, interests, and settings stay on the device. We do this so that a subscription and the puzzles it lets you play stay together, which is how we pay artists (see Purchases). The guest ID is kept on your device and cannot be used on another device.
If you sign in with Apple or Google, we create an account through Supabase. We receive the identifier those providers share with us, and an email address when they provide one. If you sign in with an email address and password, we collect that email address and password. Supabase stores the password as a hash, which we cannot read. We use this information to back up and sync your progress and entitlements across devices. Signing in is optional. If you sign in on a device that has a guest ID, we attach the sign-in to it, so the purchases recorded under it become part of your account, and the progress on the device is backed up to it. If that Apple ID, Google account, or email address already has an account, you are signed in to that account instead, and the purchases on that device move to it.
You can delete your account in Profile. That removes the cloud account and its backup, and clears that account’s progress, favorites, and showcase from the device. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. Cancel that subscription in the App Store or Google Play, or with Manage subscription in the app. Without the app, follow the steps on Delete your account or email us at contact@biblixp.com.
A guest ID has no email address, so we cannot find it from an email address alone. To remove what is stored under it, sign in on that device with an Apple or Google account that has no account with us yet, which makes the guest ID part of that new account, and then delete the account in Profile. Or email us with the date and store of your purchase and we will remove it where we can.
Whether you play as a guest or sign in, the app also sends product analytics as described below.
Purchases
Subscriptions and collection unlocks are billed by Apple or Google through the App Store or Google Play. You can buy and restore them without an account. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. RevenueCat records which purchases and entitlements you own, under your account or guest ID, so the app can unlock the right content and restore purchases. If a guest ID could not be created, RevenueCat uses its own random identifier instead. When you restore purchases or sign in, the purchases on your Apple or Google account can move to the identifier you are using.
Part of what you pay goes to the artists whose collections are in the app. To work out those payments we keep a record of each purchase (product, price, store, estimated tax and store fee, and date). While you have a subscription, we also record which premium collection puzzles you open each month, once per puzzle per month, and count those opens to divide subscription revenue among artists. Artists see only totals, never who bought or played.
Analytics in the app
The app uses PostHog so we can see how people use Bibli Verse Puzzle and diagnose errors. We use that to improve the product. We do not use it for advertising.
Each install gets an analytics identifier. PostHog can receive technical details such as device type, operating system, app version, language, timezone, and screen size; the screens you open; when the app is installed, opened, or backgrounded; and product events such as starting or finishing a puzzle, changing a setting, viewing a paywall, or completing a purchase. When something fails, we may also send an error report. PostHog may receive an IP address with those events and derive an approximate location from it.
If you sign in, or have a guest ID after a purchase, we attach those events to that identifier and to preferences we already store (sign-in method, Bible version, language, and whether you have an active subscription). We do not send your email address, password, or payment card details to PostHog. Signing out resets the analytics identity on that device.
PostHog processes this data on our behalf. See PostHog’s privacy policy.
What we do not collect
In the app today we do not:
- Show ads or share data with advertising networks
- Collect push-notification tokens
- Send your email address, password, or payment card details to our analytics provider
Third parties
These companies process information so the Service can work:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases
- Google — Google sign-in, Google Play purchases, and website fonts
- Supabase — accounts (including email and password sign-in), guest IDs, cloud progress backup and sync, premium puzzle opens, and purchase records
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase entitlements
- PostHog — product analytics and error reports in the app
- Vercel — website hosting and server logs
Each has its own privacy policy. We use these companies to run the features described above.
How we use information
- Run the website demo and remember badges on this browser
- Operate accounts and guest IDs, back up and sync progress, and restore purchases
- Unlock content you bought or subscribed to
- Pay artists their share of purchases and subscriptions
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Understand how the app is used and fix problems
- Keep the Service secure
How long we keep it
Local website and guest-app data stays on the device until you clear it. Account data is kept while the account exists, then removed when you delete the account. What is stored under a guest ID is kept until it is removed as described above. We keep purchase and billing records (product, price, store, and date, under an identifier that no longer links to an account) for accounting, tax, refunds, and artist payouts. Monthly artist payouts are kept as totals. Store receipts remain with Apple or Google according to their policies. App analytics events are stored by PostHog on our behalf. If you delete your account or want that data removed, email us and we will delete it where we can.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Use in-app account deletion or email contact@biblixp.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Service changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
